Artemis Yagou (PhD) is a Greek design historian and teacher, currenlty a lecturer at the MA Design Cultures, VU University Amsterdam. Her research focuses primarily on design in the context of the history of technology, on the uses of nationalism in design, and on the history of dress. She is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Design History and the Editorial Advisory Board of The Design Journal. In 2011 she was Scholar in Residence at the Deutsches Museum, Munich, where she studied the Museum’s collection of technical toys. Her book Fragile Innovation: Episodes in Greek Design History also appeared in 2011.
